Chicken Noodle Soup

          Rainy season is here in the Philippines. During the rainy season, many can’t help but to indulge themselves with comfort foods. This easy to cook chicken noodle soup is a good treat this cold rainy season.


Ingredients:
2 tbsps oil
4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 onion, chopped
1 tsp salt
¼ kilo chicken breast, sliced in strips
½ cup soy sauce
4 ¼ cups water
1 piece medium-size cabbage
½ kilo fresh egg noodle
¼ cup wansui, finely chopped
1 piece bell pepper, sliced in strips
1 piece egg
2 tbsps cornstarch


Directions:
  • Season the chicken with the salt. Loosen and wash the noodle in water. Drain well.
  • In a wok or pan, heat the oil and saute the garlic and onion. Add the chicken.
  • Pour 4 cups of water and let it boil. Add the noodle and let it simmer for 3 minutes. Add the soy sauce.
  • Put the vegetables.
  • Beat the egg in a bowl and pour add while stirring the noodle soup.
  • Melt the cornstarch in ¼ cup of water. Add it to the noodle soup while stirring. This will make the soup thick. Be sure to mix the thickener evenly to avoid lumps in your soup.
  • Serve and enjoy!
