Chewy Cocoa Brownies

Brownies! Who doesn't like them? I love brownies. Let me share you my recipe for chewy and moist cocoa brownies. This is a good treat for any occasion.

Ingredients:
  • 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 2/3 cups granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup cocoa
  • ¾ cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter or margarine, melted
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup chopped nuts (optional)

    Directions:
    • Preheat your oven to 350º F. Grease a 12x11-inch baking pan.
    • In a bowl, combine the flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt.
    • In a separate bowl, combine the granulated sugar, butter, water and glucose.
    • Pour the sugar mixture into the dry ingredients and mix well. Stir in half of the nuts.
    • Spread the mixture into the greased baking pan. Sprinkle the remaining half of the nuts on top of the mixture.
    • Bake for 18-25 minutes until wooden pick inserted in center comes out slightly sticky.
    • When done, let it cool. Cut into bars.

    Enjoy!
